Before Your Non-Surgical Skin Tightening Treatment
Medications and Health Conditions to Report
- If you’re pregnant, nursing, or currently on Accutane (treatment is possible 6 months after the last Accutane dose if treating the face).
- Report any active cold sores, fever blisters, or skin infections.
- Inform our staff about all medications you’re taking, especially antibiotics like Tetracycline or Doxycycline, which can increase photosensitivity.
Skin Care and Medications to Avoid One Week Before Treatment
- Refrain from sun exposure and sunless tanning. We cannot treat sunburned or tanned skin.
- Discontinue use of skin irritants (glycolic/salicylic acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinol products like Retin A, Tazorac, Triluma, Differin, and Vitamin C) in the area to be treated.
Day Before and Day of Your Treatment
- If you have a history of cold sores, inform our staff so we can prescribe anti-viral medication. Active cold sores or skin infections will necessitate rescheduling.
- On the day of treatment, please arrive without makeup or moisturizers on the area to be treated. We provide cleansers if needed.
- For those using topical numbing cream or anti-anxiety medication, arrive 45 minutes early and follow our specific instructions.
